Iyer, who was the second most expensive player in last year’s auction, was bought by Punjab Kings for a staggering ₹26.75 crore.
The official announcement of Iyer’s captaincy was made on the popular reality show Big Boss, where he was joined by his teammates Yuzvendra Chahal and Shashank Singh.
