This milestone underlines Vi’s rapid progress in expanding its network infrastructure and commitment to providing a superior connectivity experience to users across India.
Bringing a fresh and engaging twist to its network story, Vi has introduced “The Netties” — animated characters inspired by mobile towers and designed as a dynamic team of cricket players. Riding high on IPL fever, the Netties embody the strength, scale, and agility of Vi’s robust network and aim to connect with audiences through humor and sport-inspired storytelling.
Fast-Tracking Network Expansion
In recent months, Vi has significantly ramped up its 4G network coverage while also launching 5G services in Mumbai, Chandigarh, and Patna, with Delhi and Bengaluru next in line. The company has expanded its coverage across the 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, and 2300 MHz spectrum bands, resulting in enhanced indoor and outdoor connectivity, improved data speeds, and a wider service footprint — now reaching over 1.07 billion people.
Strategic Deployment with a Human Touch
Vi’s Chief Marketing Officer, Avneesh Khosla, commented,

The campaign, conceptualized by Ogilvy India, includes two TVCs and will be launched across TV, OTT, radio, social media, and YouTube starting May 17.
