Dr. Javadekar is a renowned economist with an extensive background in academia, research, and policy advisory roles. He has previously worked as an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Indian School of Business and served as Research Director at CAFRAL, an institution promoted by the Reserve Bank of India. His influential research on Indian banking and international finance has contributed to internal RBI discussions and has been presented at prestigious global forums, including the IMF, Federal Reserve Bank, and the American Finance Association. Additionally, he has been a member of SEBI’s Research Advisory Committee.
In his new role, Dr. Javadekar will oversee economic and market research efforts at Muthoot FinCorp, delivering key insights into household balance sheets, sectoral trends, and supporting data-driven strategies across the company’s businesses. His leadership is expected to play a critical role as Muthoot FinCorp expands its focus on financial inclusion, affordable credit, and innovation centered around customer needs.

Dr. Javadekar holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University and a Master’s degree from the Delhi School of Economics. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a CFA charterholder.
