365Telugu.com online news,Mumbai, May 30th, 2025: The General Insurance Council (GIC) of India has unveiled its nationwide campaign titled ‘Achha Kiya Insurance Liya’, aimed at underscoring the importance of safeguarding health, vehicles, property, and livelihoods through insurance.
Based on comprehensive research into consumer behavior, the campaign identifies key drivers and barriers to general insurance adoption. While many recognize the value of insurance for peace of mind and financial security, challenges such as limited awareness, perceived complexity, and a lack of trust—especially in non-metro and Tier 3 areas—continue to hinder adoption.
‘Achha Kiya Insurance Liya’ addresses these gaps by making insurance conversations more approachable and relatable. Shifting away from fear-based and jargon-heavy messaging, the campaign tells slice-of-life stories through the unique voices of pets.
From Barfi the dog describing a neighbor’s fall to Oscar the cat reflecting on a car accident, these playful narrators deliver lighthearted yet impactful reminders of the value of being prepared.

Another story features a cricket commentary-style narrative where a neighborhood game causes a series of accidents, humorously emphasizing the protection insurance offers in everyday life.
Dr. Tapan Singhel, Chairman of GIC and MD & CEO of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Ltd., emphasized:“‘Achha Kiya Insurance Liya’ is more than a slogan—it’s a movement. Our goal is to make general insurance awareness mainstream, especially in underserved regions.

When insurance becomes as commonplace a conversation as health, education, or investments, people are empowered to protect what matters most.”
Timed to coincide with the high visibility of the IPL season, the campaign cleverly integrates the concept of insurance into the spirit of competition and resilience, showcasing real-life insurance claims through an athlete-style lens.
Conceptualized by Lowe Lintas, the campaign features beloved Indian voices including Ila Arun, Archana Puran Singh, Raghubir Yadav, Gopal Dutt, and more. The storytelling approach avoids clichéd slogans and instead focuses on a simple, universal truth: when life throws curveballs, insurance can soften the blow.
To ensure widespread impact, the campaign is backed by a robust media plan spanning TV, digital platforms, print, radio, OOH, and on-ground activations in over 200 rural and semi-urban towns. Content will be delivered in 12 Indian languages to maximize reach and engagement.
Sarvesh Raikar, President – Creative at Lowe Lintas, added:“Tough times are inevitable, but financial losses can be avoided with the right insurance coverage. Instead of focusing on fear or jargon, we used everyday stories narrated by pets to bring a fresh and heartwarming perspective.
