365telugu.com Online News, Tirumalagiri, June 21, 2025: Pallavi Model School in Tirumalagiri today grandly hosted a series of events, including International Yoga Day and International Music Day celebrations, along with the launch of the ‘Sugar Board’ initiative introduced by the Central Government.
Adding to the day’s significance, the Pallavi Model School management also honored local ex-military officials and soldiers for the successful completion of ‘Operation Sindhur.’
The event saw the participation of distinguished guests including former MLC N. Ramchander Rao, Yoga Instructor Pratibha Agarwal from Yoga Alliance USA, along with Lieutenant Colonel Srinivas Vardhan, Lokeshwar Rao, and several other military officials.
Emphasizing the Importance of Yoga
In the morning, students participated in various yoga asanas, while guests elaborated on the benefits and importance of practicing yoga. Former MLC N. Ramchander Rao highlighted that yoga gained international recognition thanks to the special initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He stressed that a healthy future for the nation depends on the well-being of future generations.
He further added that yoga can alleviate many health issues, keep the body energetic, and improve memory. He urged all students to practice yoga daily.
‘Sugar Board’ Launch: Health Lessons for Students
Following the yoga session, the ‘Sugar Board’ program was inaugurated by former MLC Ramchander Rao alongside renowned Nutritionist Dr. Nida Fatima. This initiative, guided by CBSE, the Central Government, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directives, aims to educate students about the high sugar content in cool drinks and processed foods.
Dr. Fatima warned that excessive consumption of items like cool drinks, chocolates, and chips could lead to diabetes at a young age. She advised reducing their intake and demonstrated the amount of sugar present in various cool and energy drinks using the newly set up ‘Sugar Board.’ Dr. Fatima encouraged students to choose foods with lower sugar content.

Honoring Soldiers: A Symbol of Patriotism
Principal Vijayalakshmi Sagar of Pallavi Model School felicitated the former and current military personnel for the successful ‘Operation Sindhur.’ The Principal emphasized that it is our duty to honor soldiers who serve the nation selflessly, even risking their lives.
Lieutenant Colonel Srinivas Vardhan and Lokeshwar Rao, along with other participating soldiers, advised students to also contribute to national service by acquiring latest technological knowledge in line with changing times.
The soldiers expressed their gratitude to the school management, Principal, and staff, noting that such patriotic events, alongside education, instill respect for soldiers and a sense of service towards the nation in students. The day concluded with captivating cultural performances by the students, marking both Yoga Day and Music Day.
