Also in attendance were prominent personalities such as former Union Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju Garu,Bh. Srinivas Varma Garu, A.S.N. Raju Garu, and other distinguished members of the Kshatriya community from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Addressing the gathering, Rajnath Singh paid rich tributes to Alluri Sitarama Raju, stating:

“Within every Indian, there is a hero. To avoid dying at the hands of British soldiers, Alluri Sitarama Raju took his own life with a bullet. What greater sacrifice can there be?
When we stand for truth, we need not fear anyone-be it the British or any foreign power. Alluri Sitarama Raju proved this through his life.
With limited resources, he led a guerrilla movement against the British in tribal areas, defending tribal rights and empowering them to become self-sufficient. His vision of unity among all castes and communities still resonates across the nation.
Our government has followed in his footsteps by appointing a tribal woman, Srimathi Draupadi Murmu, as the first tribal President of India. I am confident that Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will continue to champion tribal empowerment.”
G. Kishen Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of Coal & Mines, said:
“It is truly emotional to mark the 128th birth anniversary of Alluri Sitarama Raju, a hero who brought pride to all Telugus. I recall narrating his bravery to leaders who were astonished by his legacy. Let us put aside our differences and unite to salute this great warrior who made all of us proud.”

As Lord Krishna told Arjuna in the Mahabharata, a true Kshatriya is ever ready to lay down his life for his motherland. Alluri embodied that spirit, and we must honour all such heroes who gave their lives for India’s freedom.”

The ceremony concluded with warm applause and deep reverence from the audience.
