365Telugu.com online news,July,6th,2025:India’s proposed tour of Bangladesh, which was to feature two Test matches in September 2025 as part of the World Test Championship (WTC) cycle, has been officially called off. The cancellation is due to a packed international calendar and scheduling clashes, according to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
BCB Chief Executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury confirmed the development, stating that India had communicated its inability to tour in September because of fixture congestion. The two boards are exploring alternate windows to reschedule the series, possibly within the current WTC cycle, but a new date has yet to be finalized.
Bangladesh was hoping to host India for a short series after their own commitments in Pakistan, and had already begun initial preparations. The BCB is now in talks with other potential opponents to fill the slot if a replacement series is feasible.

Meanwhile, India is expected to have a busy second half of 2025, with the Champions Trophy in Pakistan next February-March, as well as a potential tour of South Africa later in the year, which has left little room to accommodate the Bangladesh Tests in September.
Officials on both sides have expressed intent to ensure the Test matches are played at a later date, preserving the integrity of the WTC schedule.
