365Telugu.com online news,July,12th,2025:A preliminary report into the tragic Air India crash that killed 260 people has found that engine fuel supply switches were turned off before the aircraft went down, raising serious questions about cockpit procedures and system oversight.

The aircraft, a wide-bodied Air India jet en route from Dubai to Kochi, crashed shortly after takeoff, killing all passengers and crew onboard. According to the report, released by investigators on July 11, 2025, both engines lost power mid-flight after the fuel shut-off valves were manually activated, cutting off fuel supply to the engines.

Officials are now trying to determine why or how the switches were turned off, and whether it was a result of human error, technical malfunction, or another unknown cause. The black box data reportedly shows that the engines shut down within minutes of takeoff, leaving the flight crew little time to respond before the aircraft descended rapidly.

The investigation team noted that no distress signal was sent, suggesting the crew may have been caught off-guard by the sudden loss of power. Surveillance and radar data indicate the aircraft attempted to turn back before crashing near a remote desert area.

Air India has stated it is fully cooperating with investigators and has grounded the remaining aircraft of the same model pending further inspection. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has also issued an advisory to review cockpit protocols and aircraft safety systems across all major airlines in India.

Family members of the victims have called for greater transparency and accountability, urging authorities to release more information as the probe continues. The final investigation report is expected to be completed in the coming months.
