Now in its fifth year, this initiative continues to uplift meritorious girls from economically disadvantaged backgrounds across India, enabling them to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams.

Guided by the empowering motto, “Dream it. Chase it. Own it.”, the Kotak Kanya Scholarship is designed to bridge the gender gap in education by supporting girls in undergraduate programmes across diverse fields such as STEM, Medicine, Law, Architecture, Design, and more at India’s top NIRF- and NAAC-accredited institutions.

Scholarship Highlights

  • Financial Support: INR 1,50,000 per scholar annually for 4–5 years.
  • Holistic Development: Covers academic expenses and personal growth initiatives.
  • Mentorship & Skill-Building: Access to mentoring, life skills training, and mental well-being sessions.
  • Specialized Resources: Complimentary subscriptions to Unstop (for Engineering students) and Marrow (for Medical students).

Since its launch in 2021, the Kotak Kanya Scholarship has empowered 1,025 girls across 24 states, with 500 new scholars added in 2024. Beyond financial assistance, KEF fosters comprehensive growth through student engagement programmes and finishing school activities, preparing scholars for successful careers.

Eligibility Criteria for Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2025–26

  • Open to meritorious girls across India.
  • Minimum 75% marks in Class 12 board examinations.
  • Annual family income of INR 6,00,000 or less.
  • Admission to the first year of an undergraduate professional course at a NIRF- or NAAC-accredited institute.
