365telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, October 12th, 2025: The 8th Edition of the Quambiant Developers Global Grace Cancer Run saw a massive turnout at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad, cementing the city’s role at the forefront of the global cancer awareness movement. The event drew over 30,000 runners for the physical race, with an astounding 1.5 lakh (150,000) participants joining virtually from 130 countries worldwide.
Ministers Urge Youth to Utilize Mobile Power for Early Detection
The Run was flagged off by a host of dignitaries, including Telangana Ministers Shri D. Sridhar Babu (IT), Shri Ponnam Prabhakar (Transport and BC Welfare), and Shri Vakiti Srihari (Sports), alongside film star Shri Adivi Sesh, and top police officials Shri VC Sajjanar and Shri Avinash Mohanty.
In his address, IT Minister Shri D. Sridhar Babu lauded the initiative by Dr. Chinnababu Sunkavalli, founder of the Grace Cancer Foundation. “What started as a one-man initiative has transformed into a mass movement. From Hyderabad to 130 countries, India is leading the way in the fight against cancer,” he stated.
Shri Sridhar Babu made a strong appeal to the youth, urging them to utilize their mobile phones to spread awareness.
“Spare five minutes a day for early Cancer detection. Use the power of your mobile to share vital information about prevention and early screening,” he said.
Funds to Mobilize Free Cancer Screening
The Grace Cancer Foundation confirmed that the funds raised through the Run will be deployed to screen poor people for cancer. The Foundation aims to reach one lakh (100,000) lives through free mobile screening for Non-Communicable Diseases, bringing quality screening and treatment to rural communities.
Over the past 11 years, the Global Grace Cancer Run has impacted 1.4 crore (14 million) individuals across 130 countries, highlighting the scale of the foundation’s dedication to education, early detection, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Other ministers echoed the call for public participation:

- Shri Ponnam Prabhakar urged citizens to take responsibility for spreading awareness as cancer cases continue to rise globally.
- Shri Vakiti Srihari encouraged youth to understand that cancer is conquerable if detected early.
- Shri Vem Narendar (Advisor to the CM) emphasized the critical need to improve screening access in rural areas.
Adivi Sesh and Cancer Conquerors Grace the Event
Film star Adivi Sesh expressed his deep admiration for the massive turnout, stating he would participate in future runs without needing an invitation. The atmosphere was further energized by singer Ramana Gogula, who performed his popular hit “Godari Gattu Meeda.”
The event concluded by honoring inspiring Cancer Conquerors—Neelima, Prakash, Sangeetha, and Geetha—who shared their powerful stories of survival.
