The newly launched routes are:

  • Bengaluru–Ernakulam: Strengthening travel between Karnataka and Kerala.
  • Varanasi–Khajuraho: Boosting inter-state connectivity across Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
  • Lucknow Junction–Saharanpur: Improving transport access in northern India.
  • Firozpur Cantt–Delhi: Enhancing links between Punjab and the national capital.

Each Vande Bharat train is fully air-conditioned and capable of speeds up to 180 km/h (operationally capped at 160 km/h). Designed for passenger comfort, the trains feature aircraft-style seating, bio-vacuum toilets, automatic doors, sealed gangways, ambient lighting, and rotating executive-class seats.

Train Schedule Highlights:

  • Firozpur Cantt–Delhi (Train No. 26462): Departs 7:55 AM, arrives 2:35 PM — operates 6 days a week (except Wednesday).
  • Varanasi–Khajuraho (Train No. 26422): Departs 5:25 AM, arrives 1:10 PM — runs daily except Thursday.
  • Bengaluru–Ernakulam (Train No. 26651): Departs 5:10 AM, arrives 1:50 PM — runs 6 days (except Wednesday).
  • Lucknow–Saharanpur (Train No. 26504): Departs 5:00 AM, arrives 12:45 PM — runs 6 days (except Monday).

With these additions, the Indian Railways continues its mission to provide faster, more comfortable, and eco-friendly intercity travel across strategic routes, bringing more regions into the fold of modern rail connectivity.
