365telugu.com onlne news,22nd,November,2025:Scientists from NASA and ISRO have successfully tracked 3I/ATLAS, a rare interstellar comet speeding through our solar system at an extraordinary pace. Originating from far beyond the Sun’s gravitational reach, the comet was recorded travelling at more than 130,000 mph (about 210,000 km/h) as it swept past the orbit of Mars.

A network of powerful instruments — including Mars orbiters and ground-based telescopes — captured high-resolution images and spectral data of the comet’s bright coma and trailing dust. These observations are offering valuable insights into the comet’s makeup, origin, and long-distance journey.

While 3I/ATLAS displays the familiar characteristics of a typical comet — a solid nucleus, a surrounding halo of gas and dust, and increased activity as it approaches the Sun — its hyperbolic trajectory confirms that it does not belong to our solar system. After this brief encounter, it will continue outward and never return, making this a rare, once-in-a-lifetime observational event.

Researchers believe that studying 3I/ATLAS could reveal important clues about the chemistry of other star systems, the formation processes of distant comets, and how interstellar objects differ from those native to our own cosmic neighbourhood.
