365telugu.com, online news,EDDIKI, February 1, 2026: In a significant show of confidence for content-driven Tamil cinema, global streaming giant Netflix has secured the digital rights for the upcoming feature film Haiku on its very first day of production.
The project, starring Aegan (of Joe and Kozhi Pannai ChellaDurai fame), officially commenced filming this morning with a traditional pooja ceremony. In a rare industry move, Netflix opted to acquire the streaming rights before the film’s completion, bypassing the typical wait for theatrical performance metrics.
Auspicious Start with Acclaimed Talent
The inaugural clap for the film was given by the celebrated filmmaker Director Ram (Peranbu, Taramani), who visited the set at Eddiki to offer his blessings to the cast and crew.
Haiku is directed by Yuvaraj Chinnasamy and produced by Dr. D. Arulanandhu and Mathewo Arulanandhu under the banner of Vision Cinema House.
