The film stars a talented ensemble cast, including Shane Nigam, Preethi Asrani, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, and Selvaraghavan in a powerful antagonist role. Directed by Unni Sivalingam, the movie features music composed by the dynamic Sai Abhayankar.

Director Unni Sivalingam describes Balti as a “raw and rustic village drama” set in Velampalayam, a village on the Tamil Nadu–Kerala border. The narrative intricately weaves together Kabaddi, local politics, and gangster elements. It centers on the intense conflict that traps four Kabaddi players, who get caught in the middle of a political and business rivalry between three powerful village heads.
