The Haryana government has come forward to provide pack houses to ensure the safety of the produce of farmers growing fruits, vegetables and other horticultural crops. A total of 50 pack houses are planned to be opened in the state to increase the horticulture business. Applications are also invited from farmers for this purpose.
Subsidy for Pack House
To promote horticulture production and related business in Haryana, the state government is planning to start 50 integrated pack houses. These pack houses will not only increase the income of the farmers but will bring revolutionary changes in the horticulture sector. The main purpose of a pack house is to preserve perishable products like fruits and vegetables.

According to the notification issued by the Haryana government, horticultural farmers can apply till March 31 on the website https://sfacharyana.in/register for providing pack house. For more information, the state government has also issued a toll free number- 1800-180-2021. As per the rules of this scheme, farmers who have already applied for a pack house need not apply again.
Farmers’ income will increase through Pack House.
With the help of a pack house, farmers can easily wash, grade and package their horticultural produce such as fruits and vegetables. In addition to this, they can fetch desirable prices for their products not only in the local market but also in the markets of other regions. In this regard, international markets will get special help. These pack houses help farmers to move towards horticulture business. In this way, by connecting farmers with modern methods, consumers will also have the opportunity to get quality products.
