365Telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, March 19th,2023:All India Newspaper Employees Federation (AINEF) appealed to the Union Transport minister Nitin Gadkari for toll gate tax exemption to the vehicles of journalists in the country.
In a press note release here, AINEF National vice-president Chaladi Purnachandra Rao urged him to extend toll gate charges exemption to the vehicles of accriditated journalists.
Purnachandra Rao said that the journalists have to visit the journalists in the country had been urging the Union Government for toll tax exemption for a long time.
He said that the Journalists have visit various places to attend press meets, government welfare activities, and development programmes collect the news.The pay ment of toll gate tax has become a big burden to the journalists.
Moreover, several media houses suffered huge losses due to the Coronavirus pandemic and some of them are facing difficulty even paying salaries to their scribes.
Purnachandra Rao appealed the Gadkari to give immidiate order for toll gate exemption to journalists in all states during this Parlament sessions.
He also appealed to the AP government to liberalize the Information and Public Relation Department’s proposed G. O. Ms No.142 amendment.
And also include in that to exemption GST, Free travel concession in all type services of APSRTC to the Freelance Journalists who travel to all over the state for write articles on various government schemes, and othar activities.
And also re – instate group insurence, helth insurence to the journalists. And introduce retired journalists pension scheme on the lines of neighboring Tamilnadu and several implementing states.
