365Telugu.com online news, Mumbai, May,1st, 2025: NPCI Bharat BillPay Ltd. (NBBL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has partnered with Airtel Payments Bank to enable recharges for RuPay On-The-Go cards enabled with NCMC (National Common Mobility Card). This integration is live on the Bharat Connect (BBPS) platform, allowing customers to conveniently top up their NCMC-enabled cards through any Bharat Connect-supported app.

The NCMC card facilitates seamless travel across public transport systems like metros and buses in multiple cities. The partnership eliminates the need to stand in queues at recharge stations, enabling secure, contactless, and cashless transactions for daily commuters.

  • Customers can select the ‘NCMC Recharge’ option within any Bharat Connect-enabled app, choose Airtel Payments Bank, and enter their mobile number and the last four digits of their card.
  • The platform will show the current balance along with the minimum and maximum recharge limits.
  • Recharge amounts of up to ₹2,000 are supported.
  • Post-recharge, users can update their card balance by tapping it on a designated terminal.
  • The card is valid across metro networks like Mumbai Metro One (MMOPL), Delhi Metro (DMRC), NCRTC, Gujarat Metro, and also with state bus operators.

By linking the card to a mobile number instead of full card details, the solution enhances security and regulatory compliance.
