365Telugu.com online news,India,February 18th,2025: Airtel Payments Bank has taken a major step in strengthening customer security by becoming the first payments bank in India to integrate with the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP) through the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C).

This real-time API integration, facilitated by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), positions Airtel Payments Bank among the first four banks in India to deploy this advanced security measure.

This integration enables the bank to automate fraud response processes, allowing instant sharing of cybercrime complaints with I4C, the MHA, and law enforcement agencies.

Key details such as complaint numbers, mobile numbers, account details, transaction references, and fraud amounts can now be processed in real-time, ensuring swift action to prevent further misuse of compromised accounts.

By leveraging real-time data sharing, we are enhancing our fraud prevention mechanisms and ensuring faster resolutions for victims of cybercrime.”

Following directives from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Department of Financial Services (DFS), banks are actively collaborating with I4C to mitigate digital fraud risks.

Since implementing the API integration, Airtel Payments Bank has seen a significant improvement in fraud response times, successfully holding and mitigating financial crime proceeds within the digital banking ecosystem.

In addition to this integration, Airtel Payments Bank continues to invest in AI and Machine Learning-powered security solutions to proactively detect and prevent fraudulent activities.
