365telugu.com online news, New Delhi, September 16, 2025: Bharti Airtel’s anti-fraud initiatives have been highly effective, leading to a notable decline in cybercrime, as confirmed by data from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), a body under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
According to the MHA-I4C, there has been a remarkable 68.7% decrease in the value of financial losses and a 14.3% drop in overall cybercrime incidents on the Airtel network. This data, which compares key cybercrime metrics from September 2024 (before the launch of Airtel’s fraud detection solution) with those from June 2025, validates the success of Airtel’s efforts in creating a safer network for its customers.
Gopal Vittal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Bharti Airtel, stated, “We are committed to eliminating spam and financial fraud for our customers. Over the past year, our AI-powered network solutions have identified over 48.3 billion spam calls and blocked 3.2 lakh fraudulent links.
We consider these to be important steps in a much larger fight and will continue to innovate and invest heavily until our networks are free of digital spam and scams.”

Vittal also expressed gratitude to the MHA-I4C and the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for their support and collaboration in combating cybercrimes.
Airtel’s anti-fraud efforts began in September 2024 with the launch of India’s first network-based, AI-powered spam detection solution.
