365Telugu.com online news,Adilabad, March 10th,2025: Akhil Mahajan officially assumed charge as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Adilabad on Monday, taking over from Gaush Alam. He pledged to bring the police closer to the public through innovative approaches while ensuring a safer and more peaceful district.

Addressing the gathering, SP Akhil Mahajan emphasized his commitment to curbing anti-social activities along the district’s borders, tackling crime, and maintaining law and order. He assured stringent action against the smuggling of banned substances like ganja and promised to open rowdy-sheeter cases against gangsters and habitual offenders.
A 2017-batch IPS officer, Mahajan also highlighted his focus on resolving traffic congestion and addressing issues caused by miscreants in the district center. He urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement in making Adilabad a model region in Telangana.

Additional SP Surender Rao, along with DSPs Potharam Srinivas, L Jeevan Reddy, Ch Nagender, and Haseebullah, as well as other senior police officials, extended a grand welcome to Mahajan. Meanwhile, outgoing SP Gaush Alam, who was transferred on Sunday, received a warm farewell from his colleagues.
