One of the historic buildings of Lucknow, Bara Imambara or Asifi Imambara was built in 1784 by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula. Its founder was Kifayat-Ullah. The influence of Islam on the architecture here is great. The winding paths, artefacts, sculptures, intricate artefacts like these labyrinthine secret tunnels make it even more special.

Lucknow Botanical Garden holds a prestigious position among the botanical centers of India. It is located in the heart of the city. The garden is spread over an area of about 150 hectares. Here you can see different species of flowers. This beautiful garden was established by Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, the last Nawab of Awadh.

Begum Hazrat Mahal Park is located at Parivartan Chowk. This place is not only beautiful but also has its own presence and history. Begum Hazrat Mahal, also known as Begum of Awadh, was the second wife of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah of Awadh.

After her husband was exiled to Calcutta by the British, she captured Lucknow and continued her rule in the princely state of Awadh.
