It is known that the Cyberabad Police filed a petition in the High Court challenging the ACB court’s decision to deny custody to the accused arrested in this case.
The High Court, which took up the inquiry on this petition, posed a crucial question to the police. Have CC cameras and recording system already been set up in the farm house which is the stage for MLA’s purchase? The High Court asked. The accused were ordered not to leave Hyderabad for 24 hours.
Moreover, the accused have been directed to give their addresses to the Cyberabad Police Commissioner. Further hearing on this petition was adjourned till Saturday. During the hearing, Telangana Advocate General brought several important points to the attention of the court. He said that the accused tried to buy the MLAs of the ruling party. He said that Rs 50 crore has been offered to each MLA for this.
The accused told the court that the TRS MLAs were lured by the promise that they would escape from the CBI and ED cases as well. He said that as the full details of this matter were known in advance, CCTV cameras and recording system were installed in the farm house and the accused were caught red-handed. However, the AG also told the court that there is no need to issue notices and arrest under Section 41A CrPC in every case.
