365telugu.com Online News, Hyderabad, February 3,2022: The 114 yagashalas, beautifully decorated with colorful & fragrant flowers, the thatched Ya:ga Sa:la with dried palm leaves, bringing cool shade to the devotees, the divine spiritual energy surrounding the whole area is indeed a marvelous feeling one cannot miss. The day started with Suprabha:tham (waking up God), followed by a:ra:dhana, Vishwaksena Puja, Punyahavachanam, and afterwards, Agni Mathanam.
That fire is then spread to the 1035 kundas by the Yajna Ruthwiks. Agni mathanam, an event that took place at around 9:35 am, is a process in which fire is generated naturally without using matchsticks or lighters, amidst Vedic mantra. It took exactly 9 minutes. NINE, once again. Coincidentally, every event, and all the structures in the statue of equality, are somehow related to the number NINE, either in weight, height, time, date, number, etc. The number Nine has a great significance. Agni Samskaram was done, where the Agni was first created by natural means, and then distributed to the 9 kundas.
- Chathurasra Kundam (Square) 2. Yoni Kundam (Inverted Heart) 3. Ardha Chandra or Dhanush Kundam (Half Moon) 4. Sahdasra Kundam (Hexagon) 5. Vruththa Kundam (Circle) 6. Panchasra Kundam (Pentagon) 7. Thriko:na Kundam (Triangular) 8. Ashtashrama Kundam (Octagon) 9. Padma Kundam (Lotus)
After the Agni Vitharana (distribution of Agni), the Agni Aradhana takes place.
Each Yaga Sala has four entrances. At each entrance, a specific Devatha is consecrated. We cannot see the thejas form of the Devathas, as our eyes are incapable of such a feat. With the invocation of Devathas, this whole premises becomes a temple. Hence, footwear is not allowed inside.
In the Yaga Sala, the offerings to the Agni devatha were made.
The Veda Vinnapams, a rendering of manthras from the nine branches of vedas, pura:nas, ithihasas, prabandas, and sthothras was done, indicating the beginning of the parayana. Yajna is concluded with Purnahuthi with the last manthra assigned for that day being chanted, during the conclusion of the prayer to Agni Devatha.
All Yajna Yajamans got their Sankalpam, took the different grains and circumnutated the YagaSala, and gave them to the priests, to offer them in the Yajna kundas. Each day, 6 kgs of pure cow Ghee is consumed in each Yagna Kunda! A total of 1.5 lakhs of ghee being used for the 12 days of yajna.. 1035 homa kundas are divided into four mandapas, namely, the Thyaga, Bhoga, Jnana and Pushpa mandapas. Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji and eight other Jeeyar Swamis went to each and every YagaSala, and presented the Diksha vastras to all Ruthwiks.
At around 10 am, the Arani madhanam, with the Vishwaksena Aradhana, the Sudarshana Ishti, and the Va:sudeva Ishti were started. The Dwaja:rohana program was then done, where the Garuda flag is installed. The Garuda pathaka signifies praying to Garuda to invite all the devathas for the yajna and to protect the yajna. Through the Garuda Patha:kam, Garuda is installed and is worshipped there, everyday. The whole premise is now like a sacred temple. There is a Dwaja sthupa, and the place has four roads, and mini roads.
God gives darshan in the main mandapam, and just as lord is worshipped three times a day, in the morning, afternoon, and evening, the same is done here. Garuda Patha:kam was taken in a procession with Vedic priests chanting manthras, at 10:50 am. His Holiness Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji hoisted the Garuda Patha:kam after offering prayers at 11:30 am.
