365Telugu.com online news, Guwahati,February 22, 2025: Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL), a key player in India’s FMCG and beverage industry, has expanded its footprint in Northeast India with the launch of a new bottling plant in Guwahati, Assam.

Developed in collaboration with local partner Jericho, the facility was inaugurated today by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. This initiative marks a significant step in boosting industrial and economic development in the region.

Spanning over 6 lakh sq. ft., the state-of-the-art plant is one of the largest beverage manufacturing units in the Northeast. It has an initial production capacity of over 10 crore litres for carbonated soft drinks (CSD) and 18 crore litres for packaged drinking water, ensuring a steady supply to meet growing consumer demand.

During the inauguration, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma lauded Campa’s affordability and quality, stating, “Campa offers high-quality beverages at an affordable price, making it accessible to common consumers.

This brand is set to grow stronger, expanding its reach further. I congratulate Reliance Consumer Products Limited and Jericho on this milestone. This initiative will generate employment and reinforce the fact that an Indian brand can compete with global giants.”

Highlighting RCPL’s strategic expansion, Ketan Mody, COO, Reliance Consumer Products Limited, said, “The launch of the Guwahati plant is a major milestone in our journey of reviving iconic Indian brands.

The project, developed in partnership with Guwahati-based business house Jericho, features cutting-edge manufacturing technology. The plant is equipped with two advanced bottling lines – a 600 BPM (bottles per minute) carbonated soft drink (CSD) line and a 583 BPM water production line, ensuring high efficiency and superior quality in beverage production.

Speaking at the launch, Ashis Agarwal, Founder of Jericho Foods and Beverages LLP, expressed his pride in bringing world-class beverage manufacturing to Assam.

“This plant is a testament to our commitment to making Assam a hub for high-quality food and beverage production. Our goal is to craft superior products while contributing to the region’s industrial growth,” he said.

The facility will produce RCPL’s well-known beverage portfolio, including Campa Cola, Campa Orange, Campa Lemon, Power Up, and packaged drinking water under the Independence and Sure Water brands.

Primarily catering to consumer demand in Assam, Northeast India, and North Bengal, the plant is also equipped to supply additional markets based on demand.

With a diverse SKU mix, the facility ensures a wide range of beverage options and packaging sizes to meet varying consumer preferences.

This expansion reinforces RCPL’s dedication to offering high-quality beverages to Indian consumers while strengthening its presence in the Northeast. The Guwahati plant reflects RCPL’s vision of utilizing indigenous production capabilities to bring world-class products to the market.
