Shivaji is from Godhavari Khani town of Telangana is an orphan and was suffering with lung cancer. When he was
facing severe hardship in obtaining requisite treatment, the case has been bought to the notice of the management
of BIACH&RI. After going through the case, the management of BIACH&RI has decided to extend full support to the
patient and treat him freely. As per as the decision, the doctors team lead by Dr TS Rao, Medical Director, BIACH&RI
along with Dr Patnaik, Surgical Oncologist has performed requisite surgery. Along with surgery the other requisite
treatment is provided completely free and patient recovered fully.The details of the patient have been revealed by Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna, Chairman, BIACH&RI today in a specially arranged press conference in hospital premises. He appreciated the efforts of the doctors and other staff members
in providing successful treatment to the poor patient. He further reaffirmed the hospital commitment to extend such help of the needy in future also. Further speaking on the occasion, Sri Balakrishna has also revealed details of several awards received by Hospital.He explained that hospital has been providing successful treatment to cancer patients without any failure during COVID pandemic and the efforts of BIACH&RI was recognized by several governmental and
nongovernmental organizations by empanelling the organization for several awards.
Accordingly Dr RV Prabhakar Rao, CEO, BIACH&RI who lead the team from front has been selected for Telangana Healthcare
Leadership Award given by World Health and Wellness Congress, he said.
Further Sri Balakrishna revealed that Topgallant Media and Research Limited, Delhi has selected Dr RV Prabhakar Rao for his leadership efforts and also BIACH&RI separately for Special COVID Warrior Awardgiven by them. He said that BIACH&RI is proud to receive the award from Sri Faggan Singh Kulaste,Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare in a virtual award presentation ceremony.Apart from above recognitions and awards, the hospital was also ranked 6 th among Cancer Care Facilities across the nation by prestigious The Week Magazine,Balakrishna added.
