365telugu.com online news, September 19th,2025: Bank of Baroda, a leading public sector bank, has been awarded the prestigious First Prize under the Government of India’s Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar scheme. This award recognizes the bank’s outstanding efforts in promoting the use of the official language, Hindi, for the year 2024-2025.

The award was presented by Amit Shah, the Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, during the Hindi Day celebration and the Fifth All India Official Language Conference held on September 14, 2025, in Gandhinagar. Dr. Debadatta Chand, the bank’s Managing Director and CEO, accepted the award on behalf of the institution.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that Bank of Baroda has been honored with this award, having won the First Prize three times and the Second Prize once.

In addition to the main award, several Town Official Language Implementation Committees associated with the bank were also recognized:

  • The committee in Gandhinagar received the Second Prize in the ‘B’ linguistic region.
  • The committee in Jaipur received the Third Prize in the ‘A’ linguistic region.
  • A total of 14 committees were given the NARAKAS ‘Protsahan Puraskar’ for their notable efforts.

Speaking on the achievement, Dr. Debadatta Chand emphasized the bank’s commitment to its customers. “This award reflects our sensitivity towards our millions of customers who prefer to interact and avail banking services in Hindi and other Indian languages,” he stated.

He highlighted the bank’s initiatives to provide services in various Indian languages, including its digital channels like the Bob World mobile banking app and WhatsApp banking.

He also noted that transaction-related messages and customer support via chatbots and call centers are available in Indian languages to improve customer experience and connection.
