The Ideathon, part of the 3rd edition of CDSL’s flagship Reimagine Symposium, challenges young minds to design breakthrough solutions that make investor education more engaging, inclusive, and effective, thereby accelerating responsible participation in India’s capital markets.

With the Indian securities market now serving over 21 crore demat accounts, CDSL believes the next leap in financial inclusion will come from innovative, youth-driven ideas that lower entry barriers and build long-term investor trust.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Nehal Vora, MD & CEO, CDSL, said: “An educated investor is a protected and empowered investor. The Reimagine Ideathon is our call to India’s brightest students to co-create intuitive, inclusive, and trustworthy solutions that will bring millions more citizens into the wealth-creation journey. We want ideas that harness gamification, behavioural nudges, cutting-edge technology, or community models, anything that embodies Empowerment, Inclusion, and Trust.”

  • 1st prize: ₹5 lakh | 2nd prize: ₹3 lakh | 3rd prize: ₹2 lakh
  • 4th & 5th positions: ₹75,000 each
  • Open to teams of up to 4 students + 1 faculty mentor from the same institution
  • Themes: Investor education, awareness, engagement, and responsible market participation
  • Solutions can leverage gamification, AI, design thinking, social media, regional languages, or any innovative medium
