365Telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, November 4th, 2024: Diwali, the festival of lights, brings with it the warm glow of diyas and the delightful aroma of festive treats, symbolizing love, light, and togetherness that connect hearts and traditions. This year, Godrej L’affaire, the experiential lifestyle platform by Godrej Industries Group (GIG), continues its heartfelt celebration of love and relationships through the #CelebratingAcceptance campaign.

The new film from Godrej L’affaire portrays the true essence of acceptance and equality in relationships, focusing on the emotional journey of a same-sex couple. In a society often clouded by stereotypes and prejudices, the campaign challenges these biases with a compelling narrative.

The story follows young Shlok as he interacts with his neighbor, an Aunt who guides him in understanding love and family. As Diwali festivities unfold, Shlok discovers various family dynamics and traditions. His neighbor teaches him that traditions are enriched by embracing all kinds of relationships, positioning Shlok as a catalyst for acceptance.

Featuring Ankit Andulekar (Animesh) and Shailesh Gupta (Jay) as the same-sex couple, the film delivers a powerful message about love and the importance of nurturing inclusive relationships. With the campaign, Godrej L’affaire emphasizes that “Riwaazo se Rishte nahi Bante” (Relationships aren’t built on traditions) and “Hum rishton se Riwaaz banate hain” (We create traditions through relationships).

Through the innocent curiosity of five-year-old Shlok, complex themes of love and acceptance are gently simplified. His neighbor uses a beautiful metaphor, stating, “Brown ho ya colourful, hai toh dono mitti ke diye na” (Brown or colourful, after all, every diya is made from the same clay). This perspective helps Shlok appreciate diverse relationships without bias.

The film serves as a reminder that acceptance begins with understanding, and even the simplest metaphors can impart the deepest lessons. Diwali is a time for joy and connection; every diya shining its unique light makes the festival even more meaningful. Shlok emerges as an ambassador of change, learning and sharing the spirit of inclusion at a young age. The message is clear: Diwali is for everyone, and every relationship deserves to be celebrated with pride.

Sujit Patil, Chief Communications Officer at Godrej Industries Group, stated, “Festivities in India are deeply entrenched in tradition. With this film, Godrej L’affaire aims to generate conversations around broadening traditional norms. We hope to spark meaningful discussions about love that transcends conventional boundaries.”

Parmesh Shahani, Head of the Godrej DEI Lab, added, “Our dedicated diversity and inclusion vertical aims to foster workplace inclusion. Through this campaign, we hope to encourage viewers to embrace the diversity of love within their families, just as the mother in our video does. Our efforts align with the government’s recent initiatives to ensure inclusive policies for the LGBTQI+ community.”

Aadie Sawant, Senior Content Creator at AGENCY09, who ideated and wrote the screenplay for the campaign, emphasized the importance of familiarizing children with diverse perspectives, stating, “Most queer individuals grow up indoctrinated into a ‘straight’ way of living. It’s crucial to let them know it’s okay to pursue what feels right for them.”

This Diwali, join Godrej L’affaire in embracing a significant step towards fostering a society where love knows no bounds, and all relationships are celebrated. For more information, visit: Godrej L’affaire on Instagram.
