The event witnessed participation from senior government officials, industry leaders, and academicians, who discussed key aspects of education and skill development for the state’s future growth.

  • Mr. Sai D Prasad, Chairman, CII Telangana, appreciated the efforts of the Indian Women Network Telangana in preparing recommendations for Telangana’s MSME Policy. He stressed the need for gender parity in the workplace and emphasized that Telangana’s cultural heritage and human capital play a significant role in national development.
  • Mr. Anil Kumar V Epur, Past Chairman, CII Southern Region, highlighted that the country’s progress is deeply linked to skill development, education, and research. He emphasized the need to strengthen democratic values in education, optimize existing resources for meaningful reforms, and restructure the fee reimbursement scheme to ensure equitable access to quality education.
  • Dr. V Praveen Rao, Vice Chancellor, Kaveri University, stated that the government should act as an enabler in the education sector. He suggested that a few colleges should be transformed into world-class institutions by regularly updating curricula, integrating technology, turning classrooms into innovation hubs, and encouraging industry mentorship. He also highlighted the importance of diversifying revenue models for educational institutions.
  • Mr. C V Raman, Chief Technology Officer & Member, Executive Committee, Maruti Suzuki Ltd, discussed Maruti Suzuki’s skill development initiatives, which include partnerships with 22 ITIs to train over 10,000 students. He stressed the significance of the student-to-faculty ratio, faculty training, and the role of practical skill training in education. He also spoke about the Japan-India Institute of Manufacturing and the importance of skill labs in ITIs.
  • Dr. Jaya Prakash Narayan, Founder, Foundation for Democratic Reforms, called for increased flexibility in education. He emphasized that manufacturing engineers without practical skills require significant changes in their training.
