365Telugu.com online news,Hyderabad,September 21st, 2024:The 10th edition of CII Indian Women Network’s (IWN) annual Leadership Conclave, themed ‘UPLIFT – Rising Together,’ was held in Hyderabad. The event brought together key industry leaders and senior government officials to discuss gender parity, women’s empowerment, and leadership in the workplace.
Addressing the conclave, Dr. Dansari Anasuya Seethakka, Hon’ble Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Women & Child Welfare, Government of Telangana, emphasized the importance of women’s safety and empowerment.
She highlighted the Telangana Government’s commitment to these issues, mentioning the recent launch of the T-Safe app by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, developed by Telangana Police to enhance women’s safety. “There is a need to build a safer tomorrow by uplifting women,” she said, encouraging women professionals to rely on hard work and maintain the attitude that women can achieve anything.
Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, Past Chairman of CII Southern Region and Founder Chairman of CYIENT Ltd., stressed that no society can prosper without women’s participation. He emphasized the need for adaptability in the workplace and the role of technology and innovation in transforming industries. “The future of leadership will require empathy, active listening, and a focus on continuous learning,” he remarked.
Ms. Emilia Smith, Public Diplomacy Officer at the US Consulate in Hyderabad, advocated for women’s economic empowerment, stating that women are crucial drivers of economic growth. She emphasized mentoring the next generation and building infrastructure that allows women to seize opportunities and lead.
Ms. Abhilasha Bisht, IPS and Director of the Telangana State Police Academy, underscored the importance of proactive measures to increase women’s participation in the workplace. She advocated for more women in policymaking, noting that existing policies are often shaped by men.
Mr. Sai D Prasad, Chairman of CII Telangana, praised the efforts of IWN Telangana in preparing recommendations for the MSME Policy of Telangana. He emphasized the need for gender parity in the workplace and highlighted Telangana’s cultural heritage and human capital as drivers of national development.
Ms. Shirin Salis, Chairperson of CII IWN Southern and Vice President of HR at Trane Technologies, introduced the “HER” approach – Help, Energize, and Rise together. She encouraged women to seek help when needed, prioritize their health and well-being, and find ways to energize themselves and others.
Ms. Gowri Kailasam, Deputy Chairperson of IWN Southern Region and President of Rane Madras Ltd., called for the creation of an ecosystem that removes obstacles for women at work, particularly in industries like manufacturing, where women-friendly machines are needed.
Dr. Anupama Panduru, Chairperson of CII IWN Telangana, spoke on the importance of gender balance and parity, emphasizing the need for organizations to actively work towards these goals.
The conclave also featured Ms. Hema Srinivas, who highlighted the impact of the Indian Women Network as a community focused on collaboration, inclusion, and leadership development.
Ms. Mamatha Madireddy, Managing Director of India GCC-HSBC, stressed the importance of prioritization in women’s careers and encouraged celebrating intelligent mistakes as a means of growth.
Ms. Sita Pallacholla, CEO of We Hub, briefed attendees on the support available to women entrepreneurs.
The conclave saw participation from over 300 professionals, with additional insights provided by Mr. Sanjeev Deshpande, EVP-APAC and MD of India, NTT Data Business Solutions; Ms. Rachna Tripathi, CEO of Huwel Lifesciences; and Mr. Rao Thumallapalli, CEO of Seneca Global, among others.
