365telugu.com online news,India,September 25th,2025:Suzlon, a leader in the renewable energy sector, has reinforced its commitment to sustainability by announcing that it will transition its entire operational fleet to Electric Vehicles (EVs) by 2035. This bold move, which is expected to significantly reduce the company’s direct emissions, comes after its earlier pledge to power all its facilities with 100% renewable energy by 2030.
To solidify this goal, Suzlon has officially joined the EV100 initiative led by the Climate Group, becoming the first Indian renewable energy company to do so. EV100 is a prestigious global initiative that brings together companies dedicated to accelerating the transition to electric transport.

Key Highlights of the Commitment
- Fleet Transition: Suzlon will electrify 655 vehicles across its operations, covering both owned and leased fleets in the light and medium commercial vehicle categories (<3.5T and 3.5–7.5T).
- Emission Reduction: This initiative directly targets Scope 1 emissions (those from direct sources like company vehicles), contributing significantly to Suzlon’s broader Net Zero goals for 2035.
- Sustainability Leadership: By combining its RE100 (Renewable Energy) and EV100 commitments, Suzlon ensures that its core business of clean energy is fully complemented by clean mobility.
Mr. JP Chalasani, CEO of Suzlon Group, emphasized the synergy between their sustainability and business strategies. “Our ESG framework—anchored in Organization, Product, and Operations—fuels both our sustainability agenda and business growth,” he said.

“By embedding accountability across our value chain… Suzlon is advancing towards Net Zero well ahead of our stated targets.”
This move accentuates Suzlon’s role as a climate leader, pushing for a complete decarbonization strategy that goes beyond manufacturing and into its operational logistics.
