365telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, August 28, 2025:The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) has strongly condemned the persistent and unlawful fiber cuts being carried out by personnel of TGSPDCL in several parts of Hyderabad, in direct violation of the Telangana High Court’s orders.

Despite the Hon’ble High Court’s clear directions on 22nd August 2025 restraining such actions, and the subsequent extension of interim orders on 25th August 2025 explicitly prohibiting TGSPDCL from cutting, removing, or taking coercive action against optical fiber cables, these directives continue to be ignored. Reports of fresh fiber cuts have emerged from multiple areas including Banjara Hills, Kukatpally, Madhapur, Kondapur, Habsiguda, Champapet, Manikonda, Secunderabad, and Kompally.

The indiscriminate severing of telecom fiber has resulted in severe disruptions to essential internet and telecom services, impacting both urban and rural areas of Hyderabad. The situation has worsened in recent days, jeopardizing critical connectivity for citizens, businesses, and essential services.

“Telecommunications is not merely a service — it is a fundamental right and a vital lifeline in today’s digital society. Immediate intervention by the State Government and authorities is essential to uphold the Court’s orders, protect critical digital infrastructure, and hold accountable those responsible for these repeated violations,” said COAI.

The association reaffirmed that telecom operators remain fully committed to swiftly restoring services and ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for the people of Hyderabad.
