All her honour is her treatment of the depressed classes. In the name of “All Women’s Day”, the society celebrates women from the depressed classes i.e., specially-abled women, women workers of the sanitation department, tribal women, women farmers, handloom women, teachers and artists.
Continuing the same tradition, this year she invited female domestic helpers, specially-abled women and women workers of the sanitation department to celebrate Women’s Day and said, “You work for us all year long, I will serve you today” and on that day she cooked and served them herself and sat down with them without any discrimination of caste, religion, colour or class. She made the sanitation workers sit in her house and honoured them with a shawl. Similarly, she honoured everyone and handed over clothes and essential items.
The women who participated in the event responded with great enthusiasm, “In this society, where we are treated as untouchables, every year we are invited to her house and honoured and treated with food and food. Not only this, but also she will stand for us whenever we are in a trouble.”
