365telugu.com online news,Hyderabad,1 December, 2025Elekta today announced the official introduction of Evo*, its most advanced AI-powered adaptive CT-Linac, to the Indian market. Following successful launches in Europe and select global regions, Evo is now commercially available in India, delivering breakthrough high-definition, AI-enhanced imaging and true online/offline adaptive radiotherapy capabilities to oncology centres nationwide.
The system made its Indian debut at the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROICON) annual conference in Kolkata, the country’s premier radiation oncology event.
Feras Al Hasan, Head of TIMEA Region at Elekta, commented: “We are thrilled to bring our flagship innovation, Evo, to India. This system introduces an unprecedented level of flexibility and personalization to the country’s radiotherapy ecosystem.

With the ability to perform both online and offline adaptive treatments on a single CT-Linac platform, Evo empowers clinicians to confidently modify treatment plans based on day-to-day anatomical changes – a critical advantage in India, where a significant proportion of patients present with complex, late-stage cancers. Our goal is to make world-class, precision cancer care accessible to many more patients across the country.”
Shankar Seshadri, Vice President & Head – India Sub-continent, Elekta, added: “India’s rising cancer incidence demands radiotherapy solutions that deliver both extreme precision and operational efficiency. Evo is uniquely designed to meet these dual challenges.
Its adaptive technology, combined with streamlined workflows and AI automation, enables high-volume centres to treat more patients while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The launch of Evo marks a pivotal milestone for Elekta in India and will significantly accelerate our growth in this vital market.”

At the heart of Evo’s adaptive radiotherapy capabilities are two breakthrough technologies:
- Iris® high-definition, AI-enhanced imaging – providing exceptional clarity for visualizing tumours and organs-at-risk
- Elekta ONE Online software – enabling distributed treatment planning, ultra-fast dose calculation, and AI-driven automation for contouring and plan optimization
Together, these features allow clinicians to adapt radiation plans in real time or between fractions to account for tumour shrinkage, weight changes, or organ motion – ensuring optimal dose to the tumour while maximally sparing healthy tissue.
*Elekta Evo is registered with the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), India, with limited global availability. **Elekta ONE comprises multiple Elekta solutions; some components may not yet be commercially available in all markets.
