365telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, December 8th, 2025:The 30th European Union Film Festival (EUFF) officially began its Hyderabad chapter, marking the completion of its 2025 India edition. The festival opened to a packed audience with the Dutch film Memory Lane, directed by Jelle de Jonge, which explores universal themes of love, loss, and letting go.

This year’s Hyderabad edition features the festival’s largest and most diverse selection of European cinema in India, showcasing 23 films from 23 EU countries. The films delve into topics such as identity, family, shared humanity, and hope.

The EUFF 2025 is set to run from December 5 to 14 across three key Hyderabad venues: Prasad Lab Preview Theatre, Sri Sarathi Studios, and Alliance Française Hyderabad.

Distinguished Guests and Key Venues

The opening ceremony drew distinguished personalities from diplomacy, government, and the Telugu film industry, including:

  • Lorenzo Parrulli (EU Delegation to India)
  • Mr. Jayesh Ranjan (Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana)
  • Mr. M.S.R.V. Prasad (Chairman, Sri Sarathi Studios)
  • Mr. K.V. Rao (President, Hyderabad Film Club)
  • Ms. Maud Miquau (Director, Alliance Française of Hyderabad)
  • Noted Telugu film director Indraganti Mohana Krishna

Celebrating Cinema and Cultural Exchange

Hervé Delphin, Ambassador of the European Union to India, hailed the success of this year’s festival across the country. “Each film has been handpicked to resonate with Indian audiences, and the overwhelming response has only strengthened our resolve to return with an even more ambitious and engaging curation next year,” he stated.

Ambassador Delphin specially praised Hyderabad’s unique connection with cinema: “Hyderabad, the city of stories, storytellers, and an unwavering cinema-going culture, embraces cinema not just as entertainment but as a shared community experience.”

Festival Curator Artur Zaborski emphasized the variety in the selection: “My aim was to present the very best of European cinema without limiting the selection to any single theme. The true joy of a film festival lies in experiencing a rich variety of films.”

K. V. Rao, President, Hyderabad Film Club, acknowledged the long-standing partnership. “The Hyderabad Film Club has hosted 11 EUFF editions so far, and each year our collaboration strengthens the city’s cultural landscape by making global cinema accessible to local audiences.”

The films, organized by the Delegation of the European Union to India in collaboration with EU Member State Embassies and the Hyderabad Film Club, represent storytelling traditions from countries including France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, and Ukraine.

All screenings at EUFF 2025 will feature English subtitles and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees are advised to check film ratings as some titles are rated 18+.
