365telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, October 15th, 2025: The FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), Hyderabad Chapter, in collaboration with AIG Hospitals, hosted the Health Conclave-Wellness 360, a symposium focused on women’s health, at the AIG campus in Gachibowli on Tuesday.

In her welcome address, Ms. Prathibha Kunda, Chairperson of FLO Hyderabad, stated, “True wellness goes beyond the absence of disease. It’s about achieving harmony between body, mind, and soul-this is the essence of 360-degree wellness.”

The conclave featured distinguished medical experts, including Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy (Chairman & Chief of Gastroenterology, AIG Hospitals), Dr. G. V. Rao (Chief of Surgical Gastroenterology and Minimally Invasive Surgery, AIG), Dr. Rooma Sinha (Senior Consultant Gynaecologist, Apollo Health City), Dr. T. Subramaneshwar Rao (Senior Surgical Oncologist, Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital), and Dr. Srinivas Kishore Sistla (Director & Head, Department of Otolaryngology, AIG Hospitals).

Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy highlighted the transformative potential of the gut microbiome, describing it as “the next frontier in medical science.” He explained, “Our health hinges not only on organs like the heart or kidneys but significantly on gut health. The gut microbiome affects every organ by breaking down food and absorbing essential nutrients.”

He shared a compelling case: “A relative of a friend was charged with drunken driving despite never consuming alcohol. Tests revealed Auto-Brewery Syndrome, where an imbalanced gut microbiome produces alcohol internally. After medical confirmation, the charges were dropped.”

Dr. Reddy noted that the gut hosts trillions of bacteria-good and bad-across over a thousand species. “Disruptions from unnecessary C-sections, insufficient breastfeeding, or excessive antibiotic use can tip this balance, leading to obesity or chronic diseases,” he said. He added, “If you’re eating well and exercising but still not losing weight, harmful bacteria might be the cause. Some bacteria sap energy, while others boost vitality.”

He recommended homemade yoghurt as a probiotic and fibre-rich foods as prebiotics to support gut health. Dr. Reddy also revealed that AIG Hospitals is partnering with an Israeli nutrition institute to develop the Ind-Med Diet, combining Indian and Mediterranean dietary principles.

Additionally, Dr. Reddy announced the introduction of Smart Toilets at AIG, a first in India. “These toilets will automatically collect and analyse urine and stool samples for real-time health insights,” he said. A dedicated Gut Microbial Laboratory is also being established to advance research in this area.

Dr. G. V. Rao discussed the role of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare, stating, “AI is revolutionising medicine. Doctors who embrace AI will lead the future, but they must remain accountable for its application.” He advised against overusing supplements, except for essentials like Vitamin D and fatty acids.

Dr. Rooma Sinha stressed proactive health management for women. “Many women only consult gynaecologists during pregnancy. Every woman should monitor five critical areas: Abnormal Uterine Bleeding, PCOS, Pelvic Pain, Menopause & Osteoporosis, and Urinary Incontinence,” she advised.

Dr. T. Subramaneshwar Rao underscored the importance of early cancer detection and vaccines for effective prevention and treatment.

Dr. Srinivas Kishore Sistla addressed sleep health, noting, “Women experience unique sleep challenges, such as fragmented sleep during child-rearing or declining sleep quality with age. Sleep is foundational to immunity, mood, and overall well-being.”

The conclave, attended by over 100 FLO Hyderabad members, provided comprehensive insights into physical, mental, and emotional wellness.
