365Telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, June 5, 2025:Marking World Environment Day, Forests by Heartfulness (FBH) has renewed its pledge to transform India’s landscapes through large-scale, sustainable afforestation. The initiative now targets planting 30 million trees by 2030, cementing its role as a pioneer in environmental restoration across India.
In the next year alone, FBH plans to plant 3.5 lakh trees over 650 hectares, each tree symbolically dedicated to one’s mother- the first Guru. The campaign will begin with the Deputy CM planting the first tree in memory of Smt. Shantaben, mother of Rev. Daaji, the global guide of Heartfulness.
A Science-Based, Spiritually Rooted Green Model
India has lost over 2.19 million hectares of tree cover since 2000, sparking ecological crises. In response, FBH’s afforestation model goes beyond tree planting-it restores biodiversity, improves soil health, engages communities, and reconnects people with nature.
So far, FBH has:

Planted over 3 million trees on 10,000+ acres in 12 states
Conserved 80+ endangered species with a 90% plant survival rate
Established 20 native nurseries housing 6 million saplings from 330 species
According to Dr. V. Ramakantha, Retd. IFS and FBH Chairman, “We combine ancient wisdom with ecological science. Our forests are more than carbon sinks — they are ecosystems of healing, learning, and balance.”

6 crore litre water storage enabled by 715 rain guns – the world’s largest deployment in afforestation

Project covers 400 hectares, designed in two phases
Over 10,000 jobs expected nationwide, with 1,000+ in Gujarat
A National Model for Ecosystem Restoration
As the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021–2030) continues, FBH presents a uniquely Indian, spiritually guided, and scientifically grounded approach. It invites CSR partners, state governments, and NGOs to collaborate and scale the impact.
“We’re not just planting trees. We’re regenerating life,” said Daaji. “Each tree is a living prayer for our planet.”
