365Telugu.com Online News, Mumbai, April 6th, 2023:Stock markets started today with losses on the back of global market weakness and Reserve Bank’s decision on interest rates. Both Sensex and Nifty, the main indices of the stock market, saw a decline.
Currently, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex is trading at 59,593.36, down 0.16 percent at 95.95 points. Meanwhile, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) Nifty was trending down 23.65 points or 0.13 percent at 17,533.40.
Sensex plunged nearly 150 points, while Nifty fell below 17550 as the stock market slumped. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 22 stocks declined and 8 stocks gained during the trading session. However, 7 out of 10 Adani Group stocks rose. At the same time, sales are showing up in major Asian markets.
It is noteworthy that both the major indices of the stock market ended with gains yesterday. The Sensex gained 582.87 points, or 0.99 percent, to close at 59,689.31, while the Nifty gained 159 points, or 0.91 percent, to close at 17,557.05.
