365telugu.con online news,National, August 11th, 2025:Greenlam Industries Limited, ranked among the world’s top three laminate manufacturers with its flagship brands including Greenlam Laminates, NewMika Laminates, Mikasa Decowood Veneers, Mikasa Floors, Mikasa Doors & Frames, MikasaPly, and Greenlam MFC, today announced its unaudited consolidated financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025-26.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2025, Greenlam reported consolidated net revenues from operations of ₹673.8 crores, marking an 11.4% increase compared to ₹604.7 crores during the same period last year. The domestic segment demonstrated robust growth of 22.2%, driven by strong performance across all categories, including chipboard.

Operating profits before net foreign exchange fluctuations of ₹10.6 crores stood at ₹54.7 crores, a decline from ₹64.0 crores in Q1FY25. The company reported a net loss of ₹15.7 crores for the quarter, primarily due to higher interest and depreciation expenses from the chipboard business—which commenced operations in the previous quarter and completed its first full quarter in FY26—and a notional loss of ₹18.8 crores arising from adverse EUR-INR exchange rate movements on a EUR-denominated loan related to the chipboard project.

Speaking on the results, Mr. Saurabh Mittal, Managing Director and CEO of Greenlam Industries Ltd., stated, “The first quarter of FY 2025-26 started on a strong footing with steady momentum and an encouraging revenue growth of 11.4% year-over-year. Despite traditionally being a lean quarter, Q1FY26 revenues were nearly on par with the preceding quarter. Our domestic business growth of 22.2% was supported by healthy demand across all segments, including chipboard, which had its inaugural full quarter of operations. While our international business remained flat, we anticipate continued progress ahead.”

He further added, “Gross margins improved by 110 basis points to 53.1%, aided by stable raw material costs and easing timber prices. Operating profits before forex fluctuations stood at ₹54.7 crores, down 14.5%, mainly reflecting initial operating losses as chipboard capacity ramps up. EBITDA margins were 8.1%, lower by 250 basis points. The net loss of ₹15.7 crores was largely driven by notional forex losses and elevated interest and depreciation related to chipboard operations. Nevertheless, our working capital management remains disciplined, with days working capital at 59 compared to 65 in the previous year’s first quarter. Net debt stood at ₹1039.6 crores as of quarter-end.”

Mr. Mittal highlighted operational progress, saying, “We have successfully stabilized chipboard production lines, and both plain and prelaminated products are receiving positive market feedback. Our efforts to explore export opportunities in this segment have also begun to bear fruit.”

He also noted a strategic branding consolidation: “Last quarter, we unified our wood panel offerings—including plywood, veneers, flooring, and doors—under the ‘Mikasa’ brand family by transitioning Decowood Veneers to Mikasa Decowood Veneers. This strengthens our market position and enables us to deliver a comprehensive, lifestyle-driven product ecosystem to customers worldwide.”

“Greenlam remains committed to innovation and excellence,” Mr. Mittal concluded. “We will continue to introduce technologically advanced, industry-first products that empower our customers to create inspiring and elevated spaces.”
