365telugu.com online news,4th july, Delhi,2021:National Institute of tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM), Director Dr. S. Chinnam Reddy Invited Deccan Bird Watchers Society to Identify bird Species in the campus.
A group of members from the Deccan Bird watchers visited the campus at 6 am on 3rd July 2021. The members identified about 40 different birds and several butterflies species. Team members who visited were A Surekha Secretary, Deccan Birders; Shafaat Ulla, Nand Kumar,BD Chowdhary,Shilka Chowdhary and Dr. Samuel Sukumar.
The Birds spotted and photographed at NITHM were:- 1) Name: Indian spot-billed duck Scientific name: Anas poecilorhyncha 2) Name: Red-wattled lapwing Scientific name: Vanellus indicus 3) Name: Coppersmith barbet Scientific name: Psilopogon haemacephalus and the Different Butterflies:- 1) Name: common leopard Butterfly Scientific name: Phalanta phalantha 2) Name: Plain Tiger Butterfly Scientific name: Danaus chrysippus Pics credit: Shilka Chowdhary.
The society mentioned that they would document all the Species photographed today and will publish a manual on Birds of NITHM. Society members appreciated the efforts of the Director, NITHM in maintaining the green campus forest area, Lake View Area, Miyawaki Forest, and other green practices. Further, they said that they will promote the campus for bird watching and also train the students on bird-watching tourism in terms of bird identification documentation and organizing bird-watching Tourism. The Team experienced a lovely morning at NITHM, had breakfast, and enjoyed the NITHM’s Hospitality.
