Speaking on the occasion, Founder and CEO of Rotomaker Mr. Mike Yatham (a.k.a. Madhava Reddy) said that India is emerging as the hub for visual effects and animation. As per industry reports, India’s Media and entertainment (M&E) Industry is expected to reach Rs. 4,30,401 crores (US$ 53.99 billion) by 2026. Major growth will be witnessed in the Animation and VFX segment, he said.
The Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) Sector is estimated to grow at 9% to reach Rs.3 lakh crore (US$ 43.93 billion) by 2024. As India is poised to be the third-largest economy in the world, it has potential to be a creative superpower in the M&E industry especially in AVGC segment said Mr. Mike. The anniversary commemorated Rotomaker’s remarkable journey and its significant contributions to the visual effects landscape in the entertainment industry.
On the occasion, Rotomaker announced the launch of its educational venture AVGCI to develop world-class creative talent to serve the robust domestic and the global demand. AVGCI multimedia training institute is an industry focussed experiential learning platform in animation, VFX and gaming fields training students to develop cutting-edge visual graphics and cinematic excellence.
It offers transformational industry exposure through live projects, mentorship, and incubation with our partnered companies, informed Mr. Mike. Animation, visual effects and graphics are the areas with immense potential, he added. Most of the post production work of big films is done in India especially in the south, he declared proudly.
The sixth edition of the much-awaited Asia’s biggest digital entertainment festival IndiaJoy will be held from October 31 to November 4, 2023 at Hyderabad announced Mr. Mike.
