365Telugu.com online news,India,June 13, 2025 :In a significant boost to healthcare logistics, Lytus HealthTech, a subsidiary of Lytus Technologies (OTCMKTS: LYTHF), has officially launched Lytus BLOD (On-Demand Blood Logistics Platform) in Hyderabad. This marks a crucial step in the nationwide expansion of India’s first AI-powered blood logistics platform, following its successful implementation in Chennai.

Addressing Critical Gaps in Blood Delivery

Hyderabad, with over 100 licensed blood banks, faces an annual demand of more than 275,000 blood units. However, the city struggles with a 10-15% discard rate due to cold-chain failures and transport delays. Furthermore, emergency blood deliveries currently average a distressing 3 to 5 hours, often compromising patient lives.

Lytus BLOD aims to revolutionize this by offering SLA-backed, 24×7 cold-chain delivery within 90 minutes. This is achieved through a centralized dispatch system, real-time tracking, and advanced algorithmic routing, ensuring precision and efficiency in a critical healthcare sector.

Expanding Reach and Impact

Following its successful rollout in Chennai, where Lytus BLOD delivered over 5,000 life-saving units and received the Red Cross Society’s Award for Excellence in Blood & Medical Logistics, its expansion to Hyderabad is a key milestone.

For its Hyderabad launch, Lytus BLOD has already partnered with over 12 major blood banks across both private and charitable sectors. The platform is currently tied up with more than 35 hospitals and plans to expand its network to over 50 hospitals within the next 12 months.

Backed by Major Investment and Global Ambition

The Hyderabad launch is part of Lytus Technologies’ substantial commitment to scale AI-driven healthcare solutions not only across India but also into international markets, including the U.S. and UAE.

“Healthcare is the ultimate frontier where human need meets technological potential,” said Dharmesh Pandya, Global CEO of Lytus Technologies. “In the high-stakes world of blood delivery, where every minute can tip the scale between life and loss, BLOD is more than a platform; it’s a mission. We are building BLOD to be proudly made in India, for the world.”

The platform, built on AI and Agentic AI, ensures end-to-end visibility, real-time inventory forecasting, and proactive delivery management, promising a truly intelligent and compassionate approach to blood logistics.
