365Telugu.com online news,Hyderabad, May 15, 2025: Commuters of Hyderabad Metro Rail will witness a revised fare structure starting May 17, 2025, as per the recommendations of a Fare Fixation Committee (FFC) constituted under the Metro Railways (Operation & Maintenance) Act, 2002. The new fares have been finalized after carefully balancing affordability with financial sustainability, according to officials.

The FFC, chaired by a former High Court judge, was set up through a Government of India notification dated September 5, 2022. The committee submitted its recommendations on January 25, 2023, which, under Section 37 of the Act, are binding on the Metro Rail administration.

New Fare Structure (Effective from May 17, 2025):

Zone 4 >6 km – 9 km ₹40

Zone 7 >15 km – 18 km ₹60
Zone 8 >18 km – 21 km ₹66
Zone 9 >21 km – 24 km ₹70
Zone 10 Beyond 24 km ₹75

The minimum fare has been revised from ₹10 to ₹12, and the maximum fare from ₹60 to ₹75.
