Marking its fifth stop across the country, the trophy unveiling ceremony showcased the growing excitement for India’s first-ever UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) 2.2 classified international road cycling race, scheduled for debut in January 2026.
The heritage-inspired trophy was unveiled in the presence of distinguished guests, including Shri Vakiti Srihari, Hon’ble Minister for Sports and Youth Services (Telangana), alongside senior officials from the Sports Authority of Telangana and the Cycling Federation of India.

Organized by the Pune District Administration with the support of the Government of Maharashtra, the Bajaj Pune Grand Tour 2026 signifies India’s entry into the global professional cycling circuit.
Global Classification: As a UCI 2.2 sanctioned event, it is the first recognized Continental Road Race for men in India.
The Race Route: The 4-stage, 437-km race will feature elite international and domestic cyclists competing through a route that spans historic forts, rolling hills, and rural landscapes.
