The honor recognizes her tireless advocacy and extraordinary service to society, particularly for women who are survivors of domestic abuse.
Presented by Mansukh Laxmanbhai Mandaviya, the Minister of Labour & Employment and Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, the award ceremony, organized by Times Now, celebrated 12 unsung heroes from across India for their significant contributions to their communities.
A certified Domestic Violence & Abuse (DVA) specialist and PoSH Trainer, Verma has dedicated her efforts to providing comprehensive support to survivors of abuse. Through her Invisible Scars Foundation, she has facilitated access to shelter, legal aid, livelihood support, and emotional healing, helping countless women rebuild their lives.
”This recognition is not just for me, but for every survivor who has faced the world with courage,” Verma stated. “My journey began from witnessing emotional abuse in family systems, and I am determined to push for awareness, policy change, and a society free of such abuse.”
Verma’s recent collaborative initiative with the International Arbitration and Mediation Centre (IAMC) in Gachibowli has been particularly impactful. The project, titled India’s first Family Mediation Training Program for non-legal professionals, is a significant step forward in promoting peaceful conflict resolution for domestic disputes.

The jury for the 2025 Amazing Indian Awards included notable figures such as Neerja Birla, Padmaja Ruparel, Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Prasoon Joshi, and Ashishkumar Chauhan.
