Amaya Agarwal has clinched the coveted Woman Candidate Master (WCM) title, attaining a FIDE rating of 2004 in a record-breaking 2.5 years. This milestone has earned her the World No. 2 ranking among Under-10 girls. Her remarkable journey was highlighted by exceptional performances in Budapest and Bosnia, including a perfect 8/8 score in the FM section of the Bejilina Open Chess Tournament and securing the Best Woman Prize in the U10 Rapid category.

Her twin brother, Anay Agarwal, showcased equal brilliance by capturing the Bosnia Rapid Chess Tournament title, clinching it with a round to spare. Anay further strengthened his global standing by earning 100 rating points in classical tournaments in Budapest and Bosnia, establishing himself as a formidable chess talent.

The twins’ stellar achievements reflect their dedicated training at the Ekagra Chess Academy under the expert mentorship of Chief Coach Chaitanya Suresh, whose guidance has been pivotal in shaping their success.

At a press conference held at the Hyderabad Press Club, Coach Chaitanya expressed his pride, stating, “Amaya and Anay’s dedication and skill are truly inspiring. Their accomplishments at such a young age bring immense pride to Hyderabad and India.”

The twins’ mother, Panasha Agarwal, echoed this sentiment, thanking Ekagra Chess Academy for its world-class coaching. “We are overjoyed with Amaya and Anay’s achievements. Their hard work, combined with Coach Chaitanya’s mentorship, has made these milestones possible,” she said.
