365telugu.com online news,Mumbai, September 10, 2025: ideaForge Technology Limited, India’s leading innovator in the UAV industry, has announced that its advanced tactical surveillance drone, the Q6 V2 platform, has been assigned a NATO Stock Number (NSN) under the NATO Codification System (NCS).
This significant milestone follows the NSN codification of ideaForge’s SWITCH UAV and enables the Q6 V2 to be seamlessly procured by NATO and allied forces worldwide, reinforcing India’s growing expertise in producing export-grade unmanned systems that meet global standards for quality, interoperability, and mission readiness.
The Q6 V2 is a lightweight, high-endurance, VTOL-capable UAV designed for tactical intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. Fully developed in India, it features advanced EO/IR payloads, autonomous navigation, encrypted communication, and rapid deployment in under 10 minutes.

With a 60-minute endurance, a 5 km operational range (day and night), and a 5.9 kg payload capacity, the Q6 V2 is proven across diverse terrains, from high-altitude regions to flood-affected zones. It is currently deployed by Indian defense forces, homeland security, and disaster management agencies.
The NATO Stock Number, a 13-digit identifier recognized by 68 countries, ensures standardized sourcing, maintenance, and lifecycle support for military-grade equipment. The NSN assignment confirms that the Q6 V2 meets stringent global classification standards, making it interoperable with international defense procurement and logistics systems.

Mr. Vipul Joshi, CFO of ideaForge, stated, “The NSN codification of the Q6 V2 platform is more than a technical achievement—it’s a strategic enabler for global interoperability. It solidifies ideaForge’s reputation as a trusted provider of mission-ready UAV systems and underscores India’s emergence as a hub for cutting-edge, indigenous defense technology.
As global supply chains prioritize reliable partners, this milestone positions India to lead in next-generation defense innovation and support allied missions worldwide.”
With the NSN codification, ideaForge is actively pursuing partnerships with global system integrators and OEMs to expand the Q6 V2’s global deployment. The company remains committed to advancing R&D and system innovation, focusing on enhancing ISR capabilities for NATO-aligned missions and evolving global security needs.

The NSN codification of both the SWITCH UAV and Q6 V2 strengthens ideaForge’s position as a vertically integrated, full-stack UAV manufacturer capable of contributing to global defense supply chains.
This achievement highlights the growing maturity of India’s drone manufacturing sector and aligns with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, positioning indigenous UAV systems as equals to international defense equipment in terms of operational standards, lifecycle readiness, and strategic importance.
