Shubman Gill makes a return to the T20I setup as vice-captain, while Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav also make their comeback after being away from the squad for a year.
India’s Asia Cup 2025 T20 Squad:
- Captain: Suryakumar Yadav
- Vice-Captain: Shubman Gill
- Batters: Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh

- Bowlers: Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakaravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana
The selection committee, chaired by Ajit Agarkar, made some tough choices, including leaving out Shreyas Iyer despite his impressive IPL 2025 season. Yashasvi Jaiswal was also omitted, with Agarkar stating, “It’s unfortunate Jaiswal has had to miss out, but he will have to wait for future opportunities.”
