365telugu.com online news,New Delhi, September 6th, 2025:India today showcased its growing pharmaceutical leadership on the global stage with the inauguration of the 11th edition of the International Exhibition on Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare (iPHEX 2025) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event, organized by the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, highlights India’s role as the “Pharmacy of the World” amid rapidly evolving global trade dynamics.
The event was inaugurated by Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister for Commerce and Industry, who emphasized India’s responsibility to ensure equitable access to affordable, high-quality medicines worldwide. “Our pharma industry is not just serving India but providing life-saving medicines globally. As we celebrate the 11th edition of iPHEX, we reaffirm our commitment to build a self-reliant India with strong supply chains while driving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047,” he said.
Dr. Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, Drug Controller General of India, underscored India’s shift from “volume to value,” noting the country’s growing focus on innovative product development for global markets while assuring stakeholders of India’s adherence to international regulatory benchmarks.

Mr. Namit Joshi, Chairman, Pharmexcil, highlighted how iPHEX has evolved into India’s most trusted global platform for pharmaceutical exports, bridging policy, regulation, and market opportunities. He was joined by Mr. Bhavin Mehta, Chairman of iPHEX & Vice Chairman of Pharmexcil, who pointed out that India’s pharmaceutical exports more than doubled between FY14 and FY25, rising from USD 14.9 billion to USD 30.5 billion—a growth of over 104%.

Mr. Raja Bhanu, Director General, Pharmexcil, described iPHEX as a “year-round commitment to expanding India’s global presence,” through curated market access strategies, buyer–seller partnerships, and regulatory dialogues.
This year’s edition features:
- Over 700 stalls showcasing India’s strength in formulations, biosimilars, bulk drugs, and surgical products.
- A Buyer–Seller Meet with delegates from over 150 countries.
- The Global Regulatory Conclave, jointly organized by CDSCO and Pharmexcil, featuring discussions on regulatory convergence, reliance practices, and pathways to accelerate global market access.
Since its inception in 2013, iPHEX has hosted more than 5,000 foreign delegates and featured over 4,000 Indian exhibitors, cementing its role as a hub for global trade partnerships.
With India’s pharma exports already valued at over USD 30 billion annually, iPHEX 2025 serves as a critical milestone in the nation’s journey toward becoming a USD 65 billion pharmaceutical export powerhouse by 2030. Themed “Powering Healthcare, Connecting Markets”, the exhibition underscores India’s ambition to drive innovation, expand global trade corridors, and strengthen its position as a trusted partner in global healthcare.
The inaugural session also saw participation from Dr. Rajeev Bahl, Secretary, Department of Health Research & DG, ICMR, Shri Pankaj Chadha, Chairman, EEPC India, and Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav, IAS, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, among other dignitaries.
