365telu.com online news,Mumbai, 30 November ,2025:In a landmark step towards making Indian factories truly inclusive, Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) and Atypical Advantage, India’s largest inclusive livelihood platform, unveiled ‘Work That Includes’ – the country’s first practical, implementation-ready toolkit for employing persons with disabilities (PwD) in the manufacturing sector.
The toolkit was launched at the EmployAbility in Manufacturing Summit 2025 held in Mumbai, graced by disability rights icon and IAS officer Ms Ira Singhal, along with top industry leaders, policymakers and inclusion champions.

Despite employing over 30 million people, India’s manufacturing sector has one of the lowest PwD participation rates in the private sector – just 36%. The summit and the toolkit aim to change exactly that by shifting the conversation from “why” to “how”.
Key features of ‘Work That Includes’ Toolkit:
- Step-by-step job mapping for factory roles
- Accessibility & reasonable accommodation checklists
- Workflow redesign templates
- Indian Sign Language (ISL) glossary for shop-floor communication
- Real-life case studies from FMCG, auto, and semiconductor industries
- Safety & productivity myths busted with data
Developed by Integrative Solutions with on-ground insights from leading companies, the toolkit is freely downloadable and designed for immediate use by any manufacturing unit in India.

Vineet Saraiwala, Founder, Atypical Advantage, said, “Legacy myths about safety and productivity have kept manufacturing decades behind in disability inclusion. Companies like GCPL prove that when you invest in the right systems and mindset, hiring PwD not only works – it adds tremendous value through higher retention, better discipline and stronger team culture. This toolkit turns five years of learnings into an actionable playbook for every factory in India.”
Vaibhav Ram, Global Head – HR, Godrej Consumer Products, added, “At GCPL, we have already employed over 20 persons with disabilities across our factories in Malanpur (Madhya Pradesh) and Chengalpattu (Tamil Nadu), with many more roles in the pipeline. We have seen first-hand that productivity and empathy go hand-in-hand.
We are now embedding ISL training and disability sensitisation into our core Learning Management System so inclusion becomes part of every leader’s DNA. ‘Work That Includes’ captures these proven practices and hands them to the entire industry – because inclusion is not charity, it’s smart business.”

Over the last five years, Atypical Advantage has enabled inclusive hiring at marquee names including GCPL, Nestlé, Micron, Tata Motors, NIVEA and others, consistently recording higher retention and shop-floor discipline in inclusive teams.
With India’s manufacturing sector poised for massive growth, ‘Work That Includes’ sends a clear message: disability inclusion is no longer optional CSR – it is a strategic advantage and an economic imperative.
The toolkit is now available for free download on the official websites of Atypical Advantage and Godrej Consumer Products.
